The National Park Service Celebrates its 96th birthday today. President Woodrow Wilson sign the National Park Service Organic Act on this date in history (August 25, 1916) in an effort to care for the growing network of national parks throughout the United States.
To celebrate, Destination Nature wanted to share a pointer about accessing the National Parks and many other federal lands.
The America The Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is a great way to support your federal lands. This interagency effort covers admission fees for most federal entities. Proceeds from the $80 passes go to improving and enhancing visitor recreation services.
American The Beautiful Annual Pass provides entry or access to over 2,000 federal recreation sites

- National Park Service
Seniors, permanently disabled citizens, and military personnel are eligible for discounted (sometimes FREE) annual passes.
